West Overton is a small village on the River Kennet which runs immediately north of the village separating it from the Bath Road (A4).

The village has a smattering of thatched period properties and rather more modern houses. West Overton House is a Grade II listed building.

The Church of St Michael and All Angels was built in 1878 and incorporates some features from the 13th century building it replaced.

West Overton is about 3.5 miles west of Marlborough.
